Half day Refresher

Access a tree using rope and harness and aerial tree rescue operations
Understand legislation in relation to tree climbing
Identify a range of P.P.E appropriate to work positioning systems
Tie, dress and set a range of tree climbing knots
Identify hazards and manage the associated risks
Carry out visual tree inspection
Carry out a pre-use inspection of tree climbing equipment
Choose appropriate anchor points
Use techniques for safe and efficient ascent and descent
Understand the duties of a competent grounds person
Establish safe and comfortable work positions
Use climbing irons (spikes) safely and efficiently
Carry out a variety of aerial rescue techniques
Store climbing equipment appropriately
