City & Guilds level 3 Certificate of Competence in Utility Arboriculture Basic Electrical Knowledge

Competitively priced basic electrical awareness course providing a gateway to the Utility Arboriculture industry.

This course delivers a well-rounded body of learning and ensures a solid understanding of the topic and includes:

• Risk assessment
• Emergency planning
• Live and Vicinity zones
• Safe working practice
• Identification of electrical networks

Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisites for the course, however, electricity companies often require a first aid certificate and evidence of manual handling training before authorisation is granted.

Assessment

The 2-day course is followed by a half day of assessment, upon completion, this qualification enables the candidate to be present on live Utility Arb sites with the knowledge to keep themselves, and others safe in the event of an emergency.

We do offer an assessment only option for candidates who already have the knowledge and practical ability required to be able to meet the assessment objectives.
